A considered approach

A fresh look, built on what works.

If your kitchen has a useful layout and sound cabinet carcasses, you may not need to replace everything to enjoy a noticeable change. Refurbishment focuses on selected parts of the existing kitchen, bringing the visible finishes and everyday fittings closer to what you want from the room.

01

Keep the cabinets that earn their place

Retaining suitable units allows the refresh to build around a layout you already know. Start by identifying the storage and work areas that suit you, along with any sticking doors, damaged units or awkward fittings. Photographs inside and outside the cabinets help the fitter assess the next steps.

02

New fronts with a considered finish

Replacement doors and drawer fronts can change the character of a kitchen, while matching panels, handles and plinths help the update feel complete. Sizes, hinge positions and appliance clearances need checking so the selected components fit and operate properly.

03

Bring the surfaces and fittings together

A replacement worktop can complement new fronts or make a useful update on its own, subject to material and cabinet suitability. Consider the visible edges, sink area and retained finishes together. A focused list of changes helps the fitter assess both the appearance and usability you want to improve.

Worth agreeing early

Choose the changes your kitchen can support.

Condition and compatibility determine whether refurbishment is a good fit. The fitter needs to check for water damage, loose fixings, uneven units and worn components before recommending what can be retained. Have replacement parts assessed before ordering, including how their colour and finish will sit alongside the elements you keep.

Some things are worth knowing

Enquiry availability
Can I replace doors without replacing all the cabinets?

It may be possible if the existing cabinets are structurally sound and compatible doors can be sourced. Dimensions, hinge positions, panels and appliance clearances all need checking. Suitability is confirmed individually.

Is refurbishment always cheaper than replacement?

The cost depends on what can be reused, your product choices and the work needed to fit or adapt them. Compare a refurbishment quotation with the scope and expected result of replacement. A small number of changes does not automatically mean a fixed saving.

Can one damaged cabinet be replaced?

A localised replacement may be possible, but access, neighbouring units and the worktop can make it more involved. Provide photographs and dimensions so the proposed change can be assessed.

Should I buy replacement doors first?

Have compatibility checked before placing an order. Door sizes alone may not confirm hinge compatibility, panel details or clearances around integrated appliances.

When is a complete renovation more appropriate?

Widespread damage, unsuitable cabinets or a layout that no longer works may make a more complete refit a better starting point. New doors or a worktop cannot resolve those underlying issues. Painting, spraying and specialist restoration are not advertised services here.

How is a refurbishment quotation assessed?

Enquiries are not open yet. Once collection begins, the intended quotation process is: Describe the changes you want in the form and have photographs and approximate dimensions ready for the next conversation. Wivna Ltd reviews the enquiry and may introduce an independent fitter, who checks condition, compatibility and whether a visit is needed before quoting. The fitter agrees the work and contracts directly with you.
